thank you

Every time I get some time off I pour over Starlight interpretations of the people I know and note their parans into my Star Logos Handbook. I intend to build up a register that will allow me to compare how each star is manifesting in their different lives while familiarising myself with the star’s meanings. So far I am finding the same stars appear in the charts of the people I am looking at so some stars are become well know to me while others remain unfamiliar – I hope that as my net is cast over an ever widening arena I will learn the meanings of all of the stars. I am expecting this to take some time and this pleases me as it means that I will not run out of an interesting way of passing time. I am finding that this way of reading a chart is giving me an overview of the lives I am studying. There is nothing in the astrology that I am familiar with, neither progressions nor transits, that allow me to attain such a view. There is a teleological aspect to this way of looking. It is as if our stars in latter years and foundation are utilising our stars in youth and prime. To know in what direction a life is unfolding gives a sense of ‘meaningfulness’. Previously I have found that astrology ‘explains’. This in itself makes astrology a wonderful tool but to acquire the additional gift of ‘meaning’ is valuable. Thank you Bernadette and Darrelyn. I was tempted to
Africa with the promise of looking upon the stars of the southern hemisphere. Nothing else would have lured my Taurus Moon out of its comfort zone. I knew on some subliminal level that seeing these stars were important to me. I wasn’t expecting this extra gift. And the people I met were another bonus. I felt a very special bond with everyone and I know this experience was shared. Hello everyone and thank you for being there. Chrissy.

it was wonderful to have you with us Chrissy! and thank you for posting! Anyone else have anything they want to say? Anyone had a good reading lately and would like to share a visual chart? Don’t be shy, we are still learning together.
I posted a couple of comments a few days ago (in the General catagory I believe), but they never came through–I must’ve done something wrong (is there a fixed star whose interpretation is “probably drives their computer without a license?” Ha.) I have been working with the Fixed Stars every clear night–by going out and becoming more familiar with them (oh! for skies free of light pollution!–not where I live, I’m afraid). Bernadette is right, if we reach out our hands (er, eyes I suppose) in friendship to them, they’ll return the gesture–it’s amazing how quickly the sky begins to seem as familiar as one’s own backyard with regular observing.
Here is an interpretation using Fixed Stars that I put out in my newsletter regarding the recent New Moon … have no idea how right or wrong this will turn out to be but always figure, one of the best ways to learn is to throw stuff out there and see how it shakes out (I also put this in the post that never came through, so I hope they don’t all suddenly come through and make it sound as if I have runaway CRS or something …):
THURSDAY, JUNE 14th SEES A NEW MOON IN GEMINI; the Sun and Moon align in opposition to the god of transformation, Pluto. Pluto rules subterfuge as well as transformation, and Pluto in opposition to a Gemini Moon can suggest secrets–or gossip. On the day of the New Moon, Mercury appears low on the horizon just after sunset only to immediately set itself. Mercury was considered a messenger, a thief, or a gossip. Remaining in the sky will be a very bright Venus radiating (shining her light on) Saturn, sitting just above her. Just above Saturn is the bright star of Leo the Lion, Regulus (Alpha Leo). Ascending in the South East will be Jupiter, holding hands with Antares, the bright and angry heart of the Celestial Scorpion. The sky is talking to us at this New Moon, but what is it saying? It looks to me as if the message suggests some secret slips out that empowers the king (the current establishment) and angers a “prince” (Jupiter represents princes). Perhaps the Bush administration lets slip some information that detracts from one of the Democratic candidate’s presidential aspirations? (Or a similar story playing out in another country’s politics?) More Paris Hilton dramas? Everyone in the country loses their cell phone (the disappearing Mercury) and the sudden peace and quiet makes the news? (Sure, unlikely–but the transits support it and one can always hope!)
Hmmm–well, so far, looks as if I was wrong! Back to the drawing board …
sorry Trish that might have been my error, rather new at moderating…….have sorted it out now! thanks for posting!
