In the face of the archer…

Written on June 21, 2007 by Monika

Dear all-

first of all I’d like to let you know that I’m really impressed by your discussions on visual horary. Fascinating images that show up.   I’m still a bloody newbee in visual astrology and just trying to figure out the basics (so I’m still very far away from your level of insight and unable to contribute there) - anyway….

As you can imagine, one of the trickiest items for a mother - being an astrologer -  is her child’s natal chart. So many questions popping up - like e.g. why does she have to have her moon aspected by uranus and neptun? Shouldn’t I know - featuring the moon in her chart :P. Isn’t it unfair that fate glued Saturn close to her ascendant, with an Aries rising? Why did the stork drop an aries rising child (with Mars in the 3rd house) in my life, as I’m so highly dependent on harmony and peaceful circumstances and the diplomatic, handsome gene has been left out when she was assembled?

What I always liked about my daughter’s chart, was her Jupiter in the 10th house (even though in Capricorn, which at least I thought so far!). It seemed to me to be the “per aspera ad astra”- cherry-on-top-reward  for her.

Coming back to visual: scrolling around the sky of the day of her birth in Starlight, this nice Jupiter shows up exactely in the face of Sagittarius the archer (would very much like to attach the picture here - but so far I have no clue how to copy it out of Starlight).

I remember having heard in one of the lectures that the “face of the archer” is an outstanding “dangerous” place to be for a planet - is there any more “knowledge” or background on the reason, someone could share with me?

One more point: As I’m currently putting all my family’s and friends’ charts through the visual sky machine :) - there seems to be a connecting pattern regarding at least the heliacal rising and setting stars in a family structure - can we inherit our stars?

E.g. my mother has Rigel as her hel. rising star - which is as well my hel. rising star. My mother’s hel setting star is Ras Alhague - which is the hel. setting star of my only sister (I don’t have any more siblings) - so our mother shared her stars with us (I think there is a big choice of possible hel. rising and setting stars for each individual - and it seems peculiar to me that she somehow shared her’s with us).  Might be coincidence - but I will continue researching my family, as I like the thought of a “bigger plan” behind it.

Kind regards for the moment -  Monika

P.S. I uploaded a lot of photos - but I’m not able to publish them  - if someone could instruct me how to bring them from the “draft” status to the public, I will do.

    Hello Monika

great to see you again! Thank you for your post and I think you raise a valid point - do all planets that are in the face of the archer behave badly, do dangerous things, attract danger to them etc.

I have my sun with Facies, the eye in the face of the Archer, and I suppose I like to think that others do not perceive me as being ruthless, aggressive or dangerous, I pefer to live out the prophetic, focussed part of Facies, which I think you daughter might. With Jupiter as the planet that sits with FAcies, I would suggest that her broader vision, her experience of higher learning will be coloured by a particular focus, a brilliant insight, or a narrow minded approach to life. Let her choose which. I think that one would need a grouping of these difficult stars and not just one to make or break a chart. What does Jupiter rule in her chart, may we see her chart? would you like me to upload it for you and the visual - is this something you would like to explore?

    thanks again for sharing,
    regards
    Nicky

    Hi again Nicky -
thanks for your reply. I think she won’t mind if I share her chart - my only option is tough to give you her birthdata — as I’m not able to transfer the chart into the blogg:

    Alina, * July 11th 1996, 00:03 Vienna, Austria

Would be great, to get some thoughts on the visual - as I currently try to explore mainly the visual part of it. I have been working with her normal birthchart already for all her life (I’m convinced this made our lives a lot easier!!)

What I already found out is that the fixed stars are confirming her natal chart as well as greatly displaying her actual way of being in many ways! Eg. she has Murzim on the Nadir - which Starlight explains with ” a opiniated person, a person who speaks out” - no better way to describe an aries rising with Mars as her chartruler in Gemini in the 3rd house :) - that is really the way she is (diplomatic gene skipped…).

By the way - I wish you very pleasant weather for your party :) - hopefully the thunderstorms we had today will not hit you tomorrow! Have sun and fun :)
    Monika
