It is interesting to note visually, the Mars so close to he head of Cetus the great sea monster, but still in the stars of the fishes, on the left fish near the knot of Al Rescha, one wonders of course about what we talked about earlier at the conference about Mars possibly severing the sacred knot and whether it will be about religion or religious belief systems. This terrorist action is likely to raise old issues of Muslim vs Christian values, and will no doubt drag all religious leaders back to the table to discuss it all over again, this time in front of a new government. I do think the attack was aimed at the new government, and when you see Venus with Saturn at the feet of stars of The Lion, it would seem that the new government has protection that the Mars does not. This Mars is also a bit ratty, rising having been with Erishkegal, and possibly too impatient. Sin, the Moon god is with the crown prince in the stars of Scorpio, with Antares, Sin is closer to the stars of the Archer and therefore seems to be in touch with the armed forces ready for action. If we take the 10th house of the horoscopic event chart, we see that it is ruled by Saturn, who is with the stars of Leo and protected by Regulus, and is radiated by a very very bright Venus, who has lucky parans to Sadalsuud and the Sun, (ruler of both Venus and Saturn in the event chart ,and rules the 5th house of parties and nightclubs), has parans to Sadalmelek.
Come on stargazers - where are you Trish? What do you make of this?

Two things come to mind.
(1) I wonder if this Mars is an example of something you speculated upon regarding the party, where it did *not* rain even though Mars was in this very watery part of the sky: that the visual surrounding the planet will not ‘manifest’ by itself. The a star forming a paran to that planet would appear to be what opens the door for for manifestation.
Viewed thus, this has interesting implications for the blending of the visuals and parans in natal astrology.
(2) In assessing the ‘chart of the day’ or an event chart or performing an election, I now wonder if it’s best to start with the mundane parans?

I always look at the Mundana parans first, they have “rulership” over the time period that the heliacal rising star stays the same (could be two weeks or so) and the parans to the planets also seem to have some sort of rulership quality. I then look to the parans in the daily for fine tuning. This work is largely experimental since there are no sources available to support that the chaldeans even used paran this way - certainly not in horary, which came much later.

What I notice, first, in the visual how near Mars is to the stars of Aries. Heh! Someone thought they could take action (Aries) to manipulate the underbelly of the collective (Cetus).
What I notice next, however, is that Mars is, to all intents and purposes, unaspected. One might first apply this by thinking that the fixed stars were the only ways Mars has to manifest - and being conjunct the Ascendant, the drive would certainly be there, no?
Your Starlight chart shows a trine to Pluto, but it’s an out-of-sign aspect, so far out of orb that I would discount it, myself. I’d be more inclined to consider the sextile between Mars and Sun-Mercury. The chart doesn’t list this, but If you use moieties of orb instead of usual aspect-orb criteria, it is certainly active. You said you waited all day, wondering how the cazimi might manifest? If that sextile is, indeed, an active factor, this may explain the Sun’s fortunate paran to SADALMELEK foiling the disaster.

Well, it certainly was, wasn’t it?
With EL NATH, setting: One who speaks out, abrasive language or speeches
This applies not only to the ’statement’ made by the crisis itself, but the chaff that has followed.
With ALHENA, culminating: Bringing to light some injustice or swindle - ALH (!)
In the immediate crisis it was Hermes Psychopompos, in the form of a medical professional, who noticed and reported the danger. I next ponder another facet of the situation: who actually was behind setting this up? Mercury with Mars has the reputation of possible involvement with liars, especially if Mercury is not essentially dignified (it’s peregrine). Mercury and the Sun are both in Mars’ triplicity and bound. So I don’t think true religious extremists are behind this or the Glasgow episode. I say this because Jupiter is really not a prominent force in this chart, and I would have expected it to be so if religious extremism was the real driving force: Jupiter is in its own sign, is at the bendings, is still squatting right next to ANTARES in the sky and is in paran to DIADEM. But no sacrifice - suicide bombing? - so characteristic of fanatics took place, did it?
My take: someone wants you to believe that ‘the usual suspects ‘ - religious extremists - are to blame. (Sadly, I could see even my own government trying to arrange to sway your new government to support any havoc any policies our so-called leadership may wish to wreak in the Middle East. The powers behind our throne have manipulated things shamelessly to get us to the sorry state we’re in today; why should they not have done the same here, since Blair’s government had been one of their staunchest supporters?)
Be that as it may, I speculate that, utilizing the energy of the sextile between Mars and Sun-Mercury, whoever the conspirators are thought they could pull something off. If Mercury had been direct…but Mercury was retrograde AND the Sun was in paran to SADALMELEK. Whoever the real perpetrators are, I hope this turns out to be their “Achilles’ Heel” (paran to ALHENA).

I agree with you re the fact that these people are not from the usually tightly organised Al Q terrorist group. But I do believe they are religious extremists because of Jupiter ruling the 9th and the 9th containing Pluto, and even more emphasised by Jupiter being with Antares and at the bends, as you mentioned - I think this supports the fact that religion has motivated this group to act, we just don’t know which religion or why. Also, Jupiter is with Menkar in the daily parans, a star in the constellation of Cetus, the sea monster, whose head is too close to Mars in the visual for comfort, and in the Mundane parans, Venus (tconj the ruler of the 10th - the establishment) has Menkar in the mundane parans, and in the daily parans Venus has Hamal, also a tricky Aries star, but thankfully Sadalsuud is there, not once but twice.
I have not yet programmed my new computer to not recognise the out of sign trine to Mars, so I am not taking that into account. Uranus also sits unseen in in the 12th and is usually associated with terrorist activity.
What interests me is the complete failure of the three attacks, all a damp fizzle really. Do we have Neptune to thank? Neptune in the 11th, oppo Saturn, sextile to the Moon, ruler of the 4th - end of the matter….just wondering.

After some more thought, I suddenly hit upon a big reason that, at least in the London incident, I don’t relate Jupiter (true religious zealotry) to the attackers. In the London chart, it rules the 11th, which is the 12th from the 12th - house of the ‘undoing’ of the conspiracy! Mars, conjunct the London Incident’s Ascendant, rules both the 12th (secret enemies) and the 7th (open enemies). A nice bit of symbolism working, no? The secret enemy emerges, like Cetus, into the open. Add that Venus, ruler of the 1st, has the paran to MENKAR, and the time would have seemed ripe for an attack to succeed, even with Mars technically in detriment. But Jupiter sits in the sky with ANTARES which, in a nice bit of etymological punning, means “against Ares” - against Mars.
So I think that, in addition to the Sun-Mercury factors I documented previously, Jupiter’s rather considerable strength ‘undid’ this particular attack because of the houses it rules in the attack discovery chart.
A final thing I studied, almost on a whim, was the Lot of Fortune. It is in the sign of Scorpio, but lies in the stars of Libra, in the chelae - the place of the king; it is primarily ruled by the Venus-Saturn union in the stars of Leo - another place of the king.
