The Eclipse in “The Terror” chart in the VAN

Written on July 6, 2007 by Bernadette

This is just a quick note re the eclipse I refer to in the July 2007 V.A.N.

In the newsletter I am exploring the chart for the 5 September, 1793,  Paris which was the beginning of what was offically called by the Convention (the ruling body of France at the time) The Terror and is the first time that the word was used in this way and as a result it is marked by historian as an important development in the whole idea of terrorism.

OK - in this chart (5 September 1793) there is not only a Uranus-Pluto opposition but also a solar eclipse. The Saros Series that this eclipse belongs to is S.S 12 North. It began in on 19 May 1613 and is a Mars/Saturn, Mercury/Pluto saros series. (If you have a copy of The Eagle and the Lark you will find it delineated on page 325)

I found this most interestings as without doubt you would have to say a collective mania which causes 40,000 people to be excuted in 11 months is a little bit Mercury/Pluto ! ..
