Khier’s Question - Asteriods in Starlight
Written on October 10, 2007 by Bernadette
Khier asked:
“How can one search on the North Node or the Asteroids in Starlight? Any selection always gives error msg “No charts satisfy criteria.” Only the 7 up to Saturn work. (I tried to post this at Wordpress, but it didn’t seem to take.)”
(It did not “take Khier because a first post or comment by a new user always needs to be moderated and after that it “takes” …. I deleted your post not realising that its contents was waiting for moderation, so you may have to go through that process again when you next post, but after that you will see your post occur as you write them.)
So to you question: the first step in searching for star parans in Starlight is to generate your data base.
This is described in detail in Chapter 8 of the Starlight Manual which is found under HELP/Starlight Help off the main Starlight menu.
However in brief:
1) First with no chart open select Options/Parans from the main menu.
2) Select the Planets, Stars, Asteriods or whatever you which to do parans to - also here you select the orbs and the style of parans.
3) With options now set open the projects FILE/Projects/Project Management
4) In the Projects window select the project that you wish to work with and then click the Generate button. - You can also veiw the paran options of a generate set and clear them.
This builds a database of generated parans based on the current paran options that you have selected.
5) With your database now built you can search using: SEARCH/Find Charts
All of this is described in greater detail as I said in Chapter 8 of the online manual.
I hope all of the above helps Khier,
Bernadette
