January Visual Astrology Newsletter

Written on January 19, 2008 by Bernadette

Hi All,

The January Visual Astrology Newsletter was sent out last week, if you did not get it, check your spam filters, delete box etc. This month I have looked at the times when planets “tarry” according to the Assyrian priest. We call this, in our modern astrology a retrograde loop! . This tarrying was considered a stressing of the sky omen and indeed we have documentary evidence from that period that if a planet does not “tarry” then it is not an omen.  I have looked at all the retrograde loops in the heavens for the Jupiter Retrograde in the face of the Archercoming year with lots of sky images. Here, for example, is the Jupiter retrograde loop in 2008 (click image to make larger).

I must admit that this concept has been clearly displayed for me over the last three years of the newsletter - yes the V.A.N. is now three years old!

Also Darrelyn has written up two charts both with Venus - Neptune but of course with very different star parans. She shows how both people have used their Venus Neptune’s expressing the influence of their stars.

I have also upload this lastest edition to the archive which is on this link

And, you will notice,  I have put a search engine on this page so you can look for particular things more easily in the archive. It will give you all the references on the web site to that star, person or concept but those labelled Visual Astrology Newsletter are logically the newsletter ones.

There are now 36 issues of the newsletter in the archive with each one containing one or two artciles on visual astrology. With each newsletter being around 2000 words there is now over 70,000 words in this archive devoted to the topic of visual astrology!

The subject, which we sent out unannouced into the world in January 2005 is now growing around the astrological community and going strong!  And there is still so much to learn and so much to talk about.

If you have a planet retrograde in your own chart, particular a visual planet, then have a look at what part of the sky it is tarrying in…. and does this mean anything to you? I would be interested in people’s comments.

Bye for now

Bernadette Brady
